Settings, Emails decides which emails come to you, and how the emails your shop sends to buyers look in their inbox. Newsletter sign-ups and the email footer, under More options, are explained with newsletters.
Everything shows in your notifications. Under Emails to you, choose what you’d also like by email:
- Email me about new orders, with everything you need to get making.
- Email me when buyers get in touch: messages from your contact page, questions about your products and requests to cancel an order.
- Email me about new reviews.
Low stock emails are chosen in Inventory, under Warnings. Handsold always emails the shop’s owner about money, like payouts and plan fees, whatever you choose here.
A summary of your shopLink to A summary of your shop
A summary of your shop sends one email at 8 in the morning, your shop’s time:
- Every morning, about yesterday.
- Every Monday, about the week.
- Don’t send one.
It has your orders and takings, what’s waiting to post, reviews to look at, anything running low and the latest notifications. It only comes when there’s something to tell you.
Where your emails goLink to Where your emails go
Send them to shows once any email to you is switched on. Leave it blank to use the support email from Shop details, or type another address. Your summary goes there too.
Sender nameLink to Sender name
Under More options, Sender name is the name people see in their inbox. Leave it blank to use your shop name. The preview shows roughly how it looks.
The email address it comes from is Handsold’s, which helps it reach inboxes rather than spam. Replies still come to you.
How emails are sent, and a testLink to How emails are sent, and a test
How emails are sent, at the top, says whether your shop’s emails go to real inboxes. If it says Not sending yet, each email is kept in your Email log instead, so you can see exactly what buyers would get. Handsold switches real sending on, so there’s nothing for you to do.
Send a test email to me sends one to the email you sign in with. It uses your saved settings, so save first.
