Everything in your shop is yours. Lists download as spreadsheets that open in any spreadsheet app, and the shop’s owner can download a copy of everything at once.

On Orders, Download gets every order in the tab and search you’re looking at, with addresses, items and money. Tick some orders and press Download as a spreadsheet for just those.

On Customers, Export CSV offers Everyone, for your records, with who agreed to emails marked, or Only people who agreed to emails.

In your back office: Download your shop- Step 1: In Settings, under Your team, history and data, press Download your shop.
- Step 2: Press Make my copy. It takes a minute or two, longer for a big shop, and you can leave the page.
- Step 3: You get an email when it’s ready. Press Download the zip within 7 days; after that it’s deleted.
The zip has your products with every variant and option, the original photos and digital files, categories and collections, pages and journal posts, orders, customers and their addresses, subscribers, discounts, reviews and questions, and your settings, delivery prices and email wording. A README in it says what each file is.
Passwords, payment details and the tax details you gave for payouts are never in it. You can make a new copy once an hour, and only the newest is kept.
Only the shop’s owner can make a copy, because it holds your customers’ names, emails and addresses.
Your products for another platformLink to Your products for another platform
Download products (Shopify layout) makes a spreadsheet of your products straight away: variants, prices, stock, weights, tags and photo addresses. Many shop builders can import that layout, so check what the one you’re using accepts.
Personalisation, digital files, collections and reviews don’t fit that layout; they’re in the full copy. The photo addresses only work while your shop is open, so import before you close it.
Closing your shopLink to Closing your shop
There isn’t a button to close your shop yourself yet. Email Handsold at the address on Download your shop, and Handsold closes it for you.
When a shop closes, it goes offline straight away: buyers can’t see it or order. Everything is kept for 30 days in case you change your mind, and you can still sign in and download your copy. After that it’s deleted for good. Your orders are kept without your buyers’ details, because the law asks Handsold to keep records of sales.
Make your copy first, so you have everything before anything goes.
