HMRC’s rules for online marketplaces mean Handsold sends HMRC a summary of each seller’s sales once a year, by 31 January, for the year before. You get your own copy of what it said about you.
Only sales paid for through Mollie count, so nothing has been reported yet: card payments aren’t switched on.
Go to Settings, Get paid, then See your copies under What we’ve told HMRC. Each year you were in has its own panel, with the date it was sent. If you’re in a report, you get an email when your copy is there.
The owner sees the details about who runs the shop: how it was Reported as, the name, address, tax number, date of birth and VAT number. Everyone else sees only the sales figures.
If something looks wrong, get in touch and Handsold will put it right with HMRC. The details it sends come from your details for HMRC.
Who’s reportedLink to Who’s reported
A seller with fewer than 30 sales and €2,000 or less in the year isn’t reported, and nor is a shop with no sales through Handsold. That year’s panel then says you weren’t in the report.
What the figures meanLink to What the figures mean
- Paid to you: what your sales brought in after refunds, chargebacks and fees, in the quarter the buyer paid.
- Fees: Handsold’s fee and the payment processing fee on those sales. Your plan’s monthly price isn’t in them.
- Sales: how many sales there were.
Each quarter is rounded to the nearest pound, as HMRC asks, and the year is added up at the bottom. No tax was taken off. The copy can help with your tax return, but what you owe is between you and HMRC.
