handsold.co.uk is a marketplace of every shop’s products. Buyers search, browse by category, find shops, and can fill one basket from several shops. You keep your own shop either way.

- Show my products on the Handsold marketplace is on in Settings, Marketplace. It starts on.
Each one shows with your shop’s name. Settings, Marketplace says how many of your products are there now, and how many more show once they have a photo. See the marketplace opens it.

Open the product, then More options, Where it shows in the shop and Category on the Handsold marketplace. Until you choose, it’s picked for you from the product’s name, and says so.
The categories are Art and prints, Jewellery, Ceramics, Stationery, Clothing and accessories, Home, Bath and beauty, Toys and games, Digital downloads and Everything else. They’re the marketplace’s own, separate from your shop’s categories.

Shops take turns in the results, so nobody can pay to be shown first, and no plan buys a better place. The fee is the same whether a sale starts on the marketplace or in your own shop.
Where buyers goLink to Where buyers go
A buyer who opens one of your products there sees it on Handsold’s own page and pays in Handsold’s checkout. Every page names your shop as the seller, with your delivery and returns. A buyer can fill one basket from several shops and pay once.
On a paid plan, you can send them to your own shop instead.
Marketplace ordersLink to Marketplace orders
An order from the marketplace is your order, with your own order number, in Orders like any other. You make it, send it and refund it as usual, and the fee is the same.
When a buyer paid for several shops at once, Handsold emails them one receipt for the payment. The emails your shop sends them say the order shared one payment with other shops, and a refund shows against that payment.
Sending buyers to your own shopLink to Sending buyers to your own shop
Send marketplace buyers to my own shop, in Settings, Marketplace, shows them your own product pages and checkout, in your shop’s own look. It comes with the paid plans. On Free it’s shown but locked, and if a shop moves back to Free, its products go back to Handsold’s pages.
Paid plans start once card payments are switched on.
The demo shopsLink to The demo shops
While the marketplace fills up, it shows Handsold’s own made-up demo shops, each marked Demo shop. Nothing in them is for sale, they always come after real shops, and they step aside once real shops list 48 products between them.
