Two small settings that help people find you: links to your social profiles in your footer, and the words search engines show for your shop.
Your shop in search resultsLink to Your shop in search results
In Settings, Search engines, write a Homepage title and a Description. Write them for people: say what you sell and why it’s lovely. The counters show a good length, and Roughly how Google shows it previews them.
Leave them blank and your shop’s name, tagline and description are used. The description also stands in for pages without their own.
Search engines decide when to read your shop again, so a change can take a few days to show on Google.
Titles for every other pageLink to Titles for every other page
Under More options on Search engines. Title pattern drops each page’s own name in where %s is, so a pattern with your shop’s name after it keeps every result recognisably yours.
A page, post or product can still have its own Search title, which is used instead.
Your social profilesLink to Your social profiles
In Settings, Social links, paste each profile’s address, or just your name, like @yourshop. It becomes the full address when you move on, and the footer shows an icon for each one you fill in.
Leave any you don’t use blank and it won’t show. Changes show in your shop once you save.
