Logo, colours and the announcement bar

Your logo and shop icon, your colour, the picture shown when your shop is shared, and the bar along the top.

Settings, Logo and colours makes any template yours. Press Save changes at the bottom: changes show in your shop straight away, without publishing in the design editor.

Your shop makes its own icon. If your logo is square, or close to it, the icon is your logo. Otherwise it’s the first letter of your shop’s name, dark on a pale tile.

There’s nothing to set: change your logo or your shop’s name, and the icon follows.

Slide along the colours, or pick one of the Colour ideas. The shop works out lighter and darker shades for day and night, and the Day and Night previews show how buttons and links will look.

Switch on Show the badge in my shop’s footer if you’d like it. It stays off unless you switch it on, and How it looks shows it first.

The announcement barLink to The announcement bar

In Settings, Announcement bar, switch on Show the announcement bar and write up to 10 messages. Each one has What it says and an optional Link, like /shop or a page’s address.

In the shop each message shows for five seconds. Use the arrows to reorder them, and the preview to see them in turn. Switching the bar off keeps your messages for next time.

Messages with datesLink to Messages with dates

Tick Only show it between certain dates on a message and choose when it Starts and Stops, in your shop’s time zone. Leave Starts blank to begin straight away, or Stops blank to keep it showing.

Each message says where it stands: Starts and a date, Showing until a date, or Finished, so it isn’t showing. A finished message stays in your list until you remove it.
