Header and footer menus

Menus fill themselves from your shop, or you can write your own.

In Design, the header’s Menu and the Footer links sit at the top and bottom of the sections list.

Both start out Automatic: made from what your shop has. New categories and collections join the Shop menu by themselves, and links to anything empty stay out. Right now it shows lists what buyers see.

The automatic footer has your categories, the pages you’ve set to show in the footer, and the buyer’s own pages, like their orders.

Search, saved things, the buyer’s account and the basket always sit on the right of the header. Terms, privacy, accessibility and the cancellation form always show in the small print, and your social links come from Settings, Social links.

  1. Step 1: Click Menu or Footer links.
  2. Step 2: Press Change the menu or Change the links. It starts from what the automatic one shows, so you’re changing rather than starting from nothing.
  3. Step 3: Add links, rename them, and drag the handles to reorder. In the header, links can sit under another to make a dropdown. In the footer, links sit in columns.
  4. Step 4: Press Publish when you’re ready for buyers to see it.

The header can have up to 8 items with up to 12 links under each, and the footer up to 4 columns of 15 links.

Back to automatic undoes your own menu, with Undo if you change your mind.
