Everything here is optional, under More options in the product editor. Most products do well without it, and a few lines can help a buyer say yes.
A subtitle and a note from youLink to A subtitle and a note from you
Open More about it. The Subtitle is one line under the name, like a little promise. A note from you is the story behind it, in your own words, and gets its own small part of the product page.
The detailsLink to The details
Under The details, press Add a detail, or one of the ideas beside it like Size or Finish, then type the fact. Drag them into the order you like.
Where the money goesLink to Where the money goes
Under Where the money goes, press Add a line for each part, like materials, packaging and your time, with an amount and a note if you like. A bar shows the split, and it tells you whether the lines add up to your lowest price. If they don’t, it offers to change the last line so they do.
Cost to makeLink to Cost to make
Type what one costs you in Cost to make, beside the Was price. Buyers never see it. Underneath, it shows what you keep on each one and the margin, or warns you if you’d lose money.
It doesn’t take off postage, or what it costs to take a payment.
Hands-on making timeLink to Hands-on making time
Under Made to order, Hands-on making time takes a number of minutes. It shows on the product page as a fact about the making, whether you make it to order or not. It doesn’t change delivery dates: that’s Working days to make it.
Google and the web addressLink to Google and the web address
Open Google and the web address. A preview shows roughly how the product looks in a search result.
- Web address: made from the name. Change it if you like. If another product has it, it says so and suggests one that’s free.
- Title for search engines: uses the product name until you write one. Around 60 characters fits before Google trims it.
- Description for search engines: uses the subtitle or the start of the description. Aim for 120 to 160 characters.
Changed the address of a product that’s been around a while? Old links still work.
Colour, twin and homepage artworkLink to Colour, twin and homepage artwork
- Accent colour: some shop designs tint the product’s page and card with it.
- Twin product: links the posted and printable versions of the same design, so each page can point to the other.
- Flat artwork: the front design on its own, as a flat picture, which some homepage banners fan out. Portrait, about 520 by 980 pixels.
Most products don’t need any of these. Your template decides whether they show.
